ICTS is working in partnership with ‘Street League’ in Scotland to showcase the career opportunities available in aviation security to the young people they are supporting within the local community. Street League combines sport and education to help young adults into work.
“We have now hosted two Street League sessions with the assistance of Glasgow Airport, which included a tour of the airport, ‘show and tell’ sessions with our security team and a presentation on interview skills.
These sessions have been positively received by all those in attendance and we currently have a number of applications from Street League which is a great result for all involved” said Louise Cameron, ICTS Divisional Director – Scotland.
Kirsty McGunnigle, Progressions Coordinator, Street League, commented, “It was amazing to get an insight into the work ICTS do at Glasgow Airport and we got to hear from staff directly about the work they do and their journeys to get to where they are now. These types of partnerships help us showcase different career paths to the young people we work with and open their eyes to opportunities that are out there that they may not have considered before. I couldn’t be more thankful to the team at ICTS for making this possible!”
